Problem With Links To Venexia Web Site

Last Friday the main Venexia Miniatures site in Italy developed a problem. It looks to me like a hosting problem. As a result there are a few links on this site, to the free flags and regiment pack pages for example, that result in a generic holding page.

Venexia know about this and are trying to fix it. Hopefully, this will be fixed promptly. I'll update this item when I get more news.

As of Wed, 03 Feb this has been fixed and the Venexia Miniatures site in Italy is now back online and all links from this site now work.

New Range Of Static Grass Added

I've just added four new items to the basing accessories page.

There are now three shades of static grass to choose from - the ever popular spring and summer shades plus a new autumn shade - along with some scatter adhesive to stick it down with.

Venexia Launch 15 mm New Kingdom Egyptians

Venexia have just announced the launch of ten new packs of New Kingdom Egyptians and two packs of Sherdana heavy infantry.

There's a picture of the Sherdana with more promised. A new shop page has been created listing all twelve news packs. Stock was ordered two weeks ago and should be in the UK within the next 2-3weeks.

One again, I'll taking my annual late winter break in deepest Yorkshire. Every year the break is carefully timed to coincide with Vapnartak. I won't be trading just having a look round, checking out the Northern League competition, and helping out Dave Lanchester with his book emporium.

However, if you'd like to place an order and collect it at the show please get in touch before Thursday, 28 Jan 2010.

Last Posting Day

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the last posting day for UK delivery before Christmas. All orders received after this will be held over until after the Christmas holidays to avoid them being caught in the seasonal backlog.

The VATman Cometh

Last week I received formal notification of the impending rise in UK VAT from 15 to 17.5% effective from 01 Jan, 2010.

To begin with I will try and absorb the VAT increase and hold the majority of packs at 2009 prices. Unfortunately, there are two areas where this will not be possible; Corvus Belli and postage charges.

Standard Corvus Belli packs will rise from £3.25 to £3.50 on 01 Jan 2010. The other packs are unaffected. I've made this announcement early so that there's plenty of time to buy at current prices.

To lessen the impact of increased postage charges, the first since 2007, I will also adjust the postage bands a touch. The minimum postage band will rise to £3.75 but will cover orders up to £25.00.
